To address this, GGG is implementing a series of changes to make the game more satisfying and encourage players to engage with challenging content.

What’s Changing in POE 2’s Loot System? In a recent forum post, GGG outlined their plans to overhaul the reward structure:

• Rare Monster Loot Enhancements: The rarity bonus for each rare modifier will now double. Additionally, the quantity of items dropped will increase by 10% per rare mod. This ensures that tougher rare monsters drop more valuable loot, making them worth the effort.

• Guaranteed Rare Monsters per Map: Each map will now guarantee a minimum number of rare monsters. This not only increases the overall quantity of loot but ensures players consistently have opportunities to earn high-quality items.

• Boss Drop Improvements: Unique bosses and act bosses will now guarantee at least one rare item drop. This eliminates scenarios where players defeat tough bosses only to walk away empty-handed. Additionally, unique monsters will drop less cheap path of exile 2 gold (no more than 50% of their total drops), allowing for a greater focus on rare items and gear.
